 Welcome to our new Web site, a place we know you’ll find many answers to questions you may have about our school. Our K-8 school is located in Elfrida, Arizona, approximately one hour north of the Sonora, Mexico border. While we may be a rural school in a small hometown, our educational system offers all the big-city amenities, including: technology, all day kindergarten, and vocational education programs.  Elfrida Elementary continues to make improvements to our facility that will expand our ability to save money for the school. Over the past year, we have added new heating and cooling systems that are highly energy efficient. These systems not only keep our children and teachers more comfortable, but they are costing less than the prior gas heat and evaporative coolers to run. We also have added an additional solar panel, which is running our entire middle school wing and computer lab. We will be having a new intercom and bell system to replace the existing system that is only half-functional. All three of these projects are the result of grants from the School Facilities Board. The school has contracted with Midstate Energy to provide changes to our buildings including: upgraded low energy use lighting, modifications to our hot water heating systems, our water supply, our computer energy usage, occupancy lighting, and climate controls. These changes will be paid for by savings from the modifications over the next five years. Please come to see all we have done! Sincerely,
